Upwinds have marked regatta. Except a bit at the start and during the turn around the St. Andrew, all of it was upwind sailing - 250 miles upwind. Weak SE wind had prevailed to St Andrew's, which was weakened at the end of Korcula and Peljesac peninsula. Along the coast the night bora was also absent. Weak wind at open sea remained until dawn, when the calm sea period occurred everywhere. Turned out to be that the route out of the islands been better, and later when it turned to the northwest, the first ships even made an bigger gap. Some crews were lucky, when they circled Palagruza by day which was a unique experience.
